Can debt collectors come calling when you’re in prison? Apparently, they can. Ex-Assemblyman Brian McLaughlin, currently serving a 10-year sentence for charges of theft and embezzlement, has been ordered to pay back his thefts totaling almost $3.1 million while still behind bars.
